PART 1: DOWNLOAD AND EXTRACTING DRIVERS

1. Download the drivers:

Intel(R) Graphics Controller 6.14.10.3722 (Windows)

(link fixed, but im not hosting this file, so if it got deleted you just google for the file name, i saw many site provide the download links)

Newer version: v6.14.10.4497 - Download
Fix resolution 1200 x 800

2. here  files is in zip format, you need to extract it, i suggest for beginner to make your work easier, make a folder in desktop named intel graphic (right click on desktop and select new folder, type Intel Graphic)

3. Paste the driver you download on the Intel Graphic folder you just created, right click on the Intel_6_14_10_3722.zip you extracted and select extract here, it should look like this: (NOTE;: please remember where you extract the driver, you will need it later)

proceed to part 2.



PART 2: UNINSTALL CURRENT DRIVERS

1. If you already installed other driver and failed (if you dont skip part 2), you will find yellow mark on the device manager, right click on it and select uninstall. Your Device Manager should say that you have Standard VGA Driver installed under Display category and exclamation mark on "video controller". Make sure you restart PC when asked.


PART 3: EDIT c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys

1.Click Start and in Search type cmd. The result will show on top. Right-click on cmd and choose "Run as Administrator". If your account does not have admin rights you might be prompted to enter username and password. I used account that already has administrator privileges.

2. The type or copy/paste the following line (pics below): 

              takeown /f c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys

3. Press enter and the result will be success etc, refer to picture above. (the username are differ so your line might differ from the screenshoot)

4. Then type or copy and paste this line:
  cacls c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys /G peter:F

IMPOTANT: at line above you must replace!! peter with your computer name, how to check your computer name, click start and note under the pictures it show your pc name, look at the picture below:

above note my pc name is ajis

so my line will be

  cacls c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys /G ajis:F

, after that type it on your cmd (look at pics below after press enter

 There will be a confirmation message so type y

PART 4: EDIT c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys


1. Open c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys right click and select open or open with.

 2. choose second option on the radio button "select program from a list of installed programs "

3. then select notepad

4. Just add any character to the begining of the text. Lets say we will add character x . So the text should start with xMZ and the rest of stuff. Save the file. This edit will render that file unusable.

example before we add text it should look like this:

PART5: FINAL STEP

1.First open device manager by click start and  type devmgmt.msc as shown in the pictures below.

2. In Device Manager uninstall Standard VGA Adapter.

3. It will prompt you to restart so do it.

4.After install you will see a message saying that certain devices did NOT installed successfuly, which is GOOD :).

5.Go to Device Manager and you should see the exclamation point next to "video controller" and "video controller (vga compatible)". Right-click on "video controller (vga compatible)" and SELECT update driver.


6.Choose "Browse my computer for the Driver Software" .

7. Then select browse:

 8. Then notice that in part 1 i suggest you extract the driver in new folder (folder name: intel graphic). After click browse point to the folder. expand by click the small arrow button until you find the win2000.

9. Wait for the driver to be installed. It might hang for a little (It will say that window is "not responding"). Do not worry as this is still installing the driver. It will prompt you to restart so do it. (If it does not prompt click anywhere and wait for message). After restart it will finish installing the driver.

10. Open c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys in any text editor. Remove the first character you put there which was x. Save the file. it should look like this before saving it (MZ - ignore other character)

Your file will be usuable again :). You can stop here if you want, but if you want to restore the permissions for the file to original state:

Right-click on any other file in the c:windowssystem32drivers. Choose "Properties". Go to "Security" tab. Now compare that security tab with the security tab of c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys. Just make sure the security tabs of those two files look the same (all tabs and advanced options). In order to add "TrustedInstaller" it is not the same as regular usernames because it is a service.
You will need to type "NT SERVICETrustedInstaller" (without quotes) when adding it to own the file and to have all permissions. Once you done editing you can delete your account from c:windowssystem32driversvgapnp.sys, because it was not there from the beginning. We took control over and the previous commands added it by default.

Intel 965 Express Chipset Family Windows 8 8 1 Driver

Most of the time, by default windows will load standard and basic VGA Driver for Intel 965 Express Chipset Family. There is no updates for windows 8 for this graphic chip on Intel website but there are updates provide by Microsoft updates. You can download and Install it manually by:

Download the Driver for Windows 8/8.1

1. Go to Microsoft Update catalog using internet explorer browser and type Intel 965 on the search box. You will see 2 files name with:

Intel Corporation driver update for Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)

2. There are 2 drivers available for windows 8. Click add and click view basket then click.

3. Set the location which you wan the files to be stored. I select desktop for this tutorial.

4. Wait until downloads is finish and extract the cab files. (the driver is compress in cab format)
5. You will get 2 driver which is amd64 (for 64-bit) and x86 (32-bit) all in one folder. Extract both (I extract it using winrar). You can also choose one of the driver base on your Operating System.

Install the Drivers

1. Open device manager by press windows button + R and type DEVMGMT.MSC and press enter.
2. Right click on standard VGA under graphic adapter and select update driver.
3. Select browse my computer for Driver Software.
4. Select the driver folder we extracted earlier and continue with on-screen installation until finish. reboot.

Additional Troubleshoot

1. You can also use the same method to install with your original windows 7 drivers.
2. The success depends on the driver version, so it may take a while to test which version will work.

Namanya juga teknologi, belum lama memakai telah keluar lagi yang baru. Lah ngomongin apa nih? Perusahaan pembuat prosessor yaitu intel, dikabarkan dapat merilis 14 prosesor baru generasi haswell tahun 2013 mendatang. Haswell yaitu prosesor generasi penerus ivy bridge yang memakai arsitektur baru dan menjanjikan performa tinggi dengan mengonsumsi daya yang rendah.

Beberapa besar prosesor intel generasi haswell ini dapat memakai soket baru, yaitu lga ( land grid array ) 1150. soket lga 1150 ini dapat menukar posisi soket lga 1155 yang dipakai oleh prosesor generasi ivy bridge kelas menengah serta entry-level.

Menurut bocoran dari 14 prosesor yang dapat dirilis, intel core i5 4670k serta core i7 4770k yaitu dua prosesor kelas paling atas. tambahan k dibelakang nama seri mengisyaratkan bahwa prosesor ini bisa di-overclock untuk meningkatakan kembali performa prosesor.
Intel core i5 4670k yaitu prosesor quad-core dengan kecepatan 3, 4ghz dengan turboboost sampai 3, 8ghz. namun intel core i7 4770k yaitu prosesor quad-core dengan 8 thread melewati teknologi hyperthreading serta lari dengan kecepatan 3, 5ghz, serta turboboost sampai 3, 9ghz.

Sebagian model prosesor haswell ini lari dengan kecepatan yang sama juga dengan generasi ivy bridge. walau sama, performa prosesor generasi haswell ini diklaim lebih cepat dikarenakan ipc ( instruction per clock ) yang meningkat di banding generasi ivy bridge.

Intel membagi Haswell ke dalam dua keluarga: chip dengan konsumsi daya 10 watt yang ditujukan untuk perangkat hybrid gabungan ultrabook dan tablet, serta keluarga chip 15 dan 17 watt yang ditujukan untuk ultrabook dan laptop.

Chip Haswell akan membawa berbagai teknologi canggih Intel seperti Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) 2 dan Intel Transctional Synchronization Extensions (TSX) untuk meningkatkan performa prosesor masa depan.

Intel does provide audio drivers for download on their download center. There are more than 100 audio drivers available such as Intel® HD Graphics and Intel® Display Audio Driver, Intel HDMI. Drivers from other manufacturer also available such as Realtek and IDT.

Non Tech Savvy user might find it is hard to choose the correct drivers from the very huge drivers lists.
Here is the easy way to get the proper Intel audio/sound driver for any operating system such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1:

1. Go to : http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu
2. Click "Check your drivers for system updates".
3. It will ask to install active x, install it.
4. Then it will scan your system and will display available download.
5. The result will not only show audio drivers but also list out any available drivers updates for your system .
6. Download and then install the recommend updates.

If the result shows that your system need to install IDT audio drivers, you need to install KB888111 first which available on Microsoft Website. However this installation only for Windows XP.
I strongly recommend to perform windows automatic update first. Base on my experience, chipset drivers is the most important drivers before installing other drivers.
If you have an Intel graphics, you only need to install the graphic drivers because it will automatically install Intel HDMI drivers.

Mengenal Teknologi Intel Sandy Bridge

Tentunya kalian yang telah terbiasa mengikuti perkembangan teknologi terutama dalam hal perkembangan komputer sering mendengar istilah Sandy Bridge, istilah itu sudah mulai populer dikalangan pengguna komputer. Dari berbagai sumber yang aku searching di internet maka aku dapatkan informasi mengenai teknologi sandy bridge seperti berikut ini. Sandy Bridge, sebelumnya Gesher, adalah nama kode untuk mikroarsitektur prosesor terbaru yang dikembangkan oleh Intel sebagai penerus Nehalem.
Berdasarkan proses 32 nm, pengembangan dimulai pada tahun 2005 di Pusat Pengembangan Intel di Haifa Israel. Prosesor berdasarkan arsitektur ini dipasarkan sebagai generasi kedua dari seri i Core dan diumumkan pada tanggal 3 Januari 2011. Mereka tersedia dari 9 Januari 2011 dan seterusnya tergantung pada segmen pasar.

Pada tanggal 31 Januari 2011, Intel mengumumkan bahwa mereka telah menemukan sebuah cacat desain dalam chipset Point Cougar seri 6 , yang menyertai soket LGA 1155 mempengaruhi port SATA-II 2 sampai 5, dan motherboard dikeluarkan Intel. Intel mengirimkan chipset yang revisi (B3) sejak 14 Februari 2011 dan mereka mengharapkan pengiriman dan kualifikasi vendor Board baru akan selesai pada April 2011.

Pada garis besarnya teknologi sandy bridge ini, seluruh komponen pendukung yang sebelumnya terpisah seperti memory controller, PCI-E controller, chip grafis onboard yang diintegrasikan ke dalam prosesor Sandy Bridge berada dalam sekeping silikon, tidak ada yang terpisah-pisah lagi. Pada teknology Sandy Bridge ada 995 juta transistor di sekeping silikon berukuran 216mm2, terdiri dari inti prosesor, chip grafis, L3 cache, dan System Agent. Di Sandy Bridge, perjalanan data bahkan semakin singkat karena seluruh unit berada dalam satu silikon. Intel telah membuat interkoneksi atau jalan baru yang menghubungkan seluruh komponen, mulai dari chip prosesor, chip grafis, sampai cache.

Interkoneksi yang disebut Ring Bus ini seperti jalan tol untuk perjalanan data ke seluruh unit tersebut, karena memiliki kecepatan sampai 384 GB/s dengan latency yang minim. Keuntungan lain dari sistem adalah penurunan konsumsi daya serta ukuran inti, apalagi dengan fabrikasi 32 nm yang digunakan Sandy Bridge. Jika dihitung, Sandy Bridge dengan empat inti memiliki 995 juta transistor, namun ukuran die-nya hanya 216 mm2. Jika dibandingkan dengan pendahulunya, Lynnfield, yang hanya memiliki 296 juta transistor dan memiliki ukuran die 296 mm2.

Komponen-komponen di dalam silikon Sandy Bridge sendiri kurang lebih sama seperti teknologi Nehalem. Yang pertama inti prosesor. Pada Sandy Bridge generasi pertama ini, jumlah inti berjumlah 2 dan 4, yang disusul dengan generasi berikut yang memiliki 6 dan 8 inti. Masing-masing inti memiliki L2 cachd sebesar 256 KB. Kerja L2 cache dibantu dibantu cache level 3 (L3 cache) yang dipakai bersama dengan ukuran bervariasi antara 3-8 MB (tergantung segmentasi). Pada Teknologi Sandy Bridge, clock generator hanya satu dan mengatur frekuensi di angka 100 MHz untuk seluruh komponen. Hasilnya menaikkan frekuensi prosesor akan menaikkan frekuensi memori, SATA, dan komponen lain. Hal ini membuat overclock melalui BCLK menjadi sangat sulit. Kenaikan angka 5-6 MHz saja sudah akan membuat komponen USB dan SATA mogok bekerja.

Laba Intel dan IBM Turun Drastis

Baru-baru ini IBM dan Intel melaporkan penurunan laba perusahaan dalam jumlah besar. Intel melaporkan laba kuartal kedua sebesar $ 2 milyar (£ 1.32bn), turun 29% dari tahun lalu. Sementara IBM, untuk periode yang sama, turun 17% menjadi $ 3.23bn. Pendapatan bagi kedua perusahaan tergelincir juga, dengan IBM jatuh sebesar 3% dan Intel turun 5%.

Produsen chip Intel menderita kerugian besar ini karena sebagian besar konsumen dan bisnis beralih dari komputer tradisional, sementara IBM memroduksi lebih sedikit hardware dan lebih banyak pada perangkat lunak.
