Reinstall the Operating System On Acer Laptop

some cases that cause the operating system on your laptop crashes atupun damaged by virus or is not accidentally deleted, and cause your laptop must be installed back to the operating system that is still fresh, to do this please follow the steps below, make sure all important data backed up first, 
  1. Restart the computer. 
  2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the Alt and F10 keys repeatedly. 
  3. If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key. 
  4. After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System. If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails, recovery of the Operating System will from need to be from the Recovery Media. 
Note: If your computer does not have an internal optical disc drive, an external optical disc drive will from be required in order to recover the operating system using the Acer Recovery Media.
  1. Restart the computer. 
  2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the computers Boot Menu. 
  3. Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the disc labeled CD System. 
  4. Close the CD-ROM tray. 
  5. Refer to on screen instructions to select Either CDROM or USB CDROM. 
  6. The computer will of the boot from the Acer Recovery Media 
  7. When prompted for the Recovery CD, remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD. 
Note: If there are multiple Recovery CDs, please insert the first of the Recovery CDs.
After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System

  • Download and run Microsofts Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, this software can check whether your laptop hardware is able to run windows 7 
  • if you want to upgrade your operating system be 64 bit, it helps you update your laptop BIOS, for his update you can simply visit the Toshiba website and download the latest BIOS file for your laptop. 
  •  input windows 7 DVD into the DVD optical drive on toshiba laptop you 
  • When prompted by Windows 7 setup, click Go online to get the latest Updates (recommended) to install any Important updates for Windows 7. 
  • Read and accept the Microsoft Software License Terms. If you click "I decline (cancel installation) , Windows 7 will from exit Setup. 
  • Click Custom to replace your existing Windows installation with Windows 7. This will of result in deleting all programs and data currently on your computer. 
  • Select the partition Nowhere Would you like to install Windows. To move your existing Windows installation into a Windows.old folder and replace the operating system with Windows 7, select the partition Nowhere your current Windows installation is located. Click Next and then click OK. 

Windows 7 Setup will from now proceed with your Windows 7 installation. 
after you finish installing windows 7 there are a few more steps you must do the following 
  

  • Run Windows Update. To run Windows Update, first make sure you are connected To The Internet, then click Start, then All Programs, and then Windows Update. Install any "Important updates" that are available. 
  • Download and run the Toshiba Software Installer for Windows 7 to install drivers and utilities from Toshiba. go to Toshiba website and find the Toshiba software installer for Windows 7. For more information about this program, read the Toshiba tools to simplify the installation process of Windows 7. 
  • If you Used Windows Easy Transfer from Microsoft to back up Windows files and settings, this would be a good time to migrate That data to the new Windows 7 installation. Windows Easy Transfer is included in Windows 7, so you cans click Start and type easy into the Search programs and files box to find it, or browse through Start, All programs, Accessories, System Tools and click on Windows Easy Transfer. 
  • If you backed up your data before installing from Windows 7, this would be a good time to restore data to your laptop Thats hard disk. You can click Start and type "restore" into the Search programs and files box to find Backup and Restore , or browse through Start , Control Panel , System and Security , Backup and Restore . From Backup and Restore, click Select another backup to restore files from and follow the on-screens instructions.

  • Double-click the IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers or storage controllers category.
